Basic Overview

The Epiphany Day School curriculum is designed to provide intellectual, physical, social and spiritual experiences appropriate to the age and ability of our students. Small classes led by well-prepared and enthusiastic teachers blend sound instructional principals with the latest advances to challenge our students. The curriculum of the school is so designed that students who perform at a satisfactory level will be prepared for any other school, public or independent. You may have checked with other schools who have given you the name of a complete curriculum that they follow. Because academic standards are subject to constant change and because each year brings a demand for increased academic prowess, the course of study must, of necessity, be both coordinated from grade to grade and also flexible enough to admit the inclusion of new texts, techniques and subject areas. The curriculum provides a strong academic foundation in all basic subjects. Our textbooks are reviewed yearly to determine any changes necessary to meet the needs of the students. We regularly review new textbooks introduced by the vast number of publishers available and make changes to our curriculum when we feel that change in necessary. In addition to a strong academic core curriculum, enrichment classes in library, art, music, French, computer, Christian education and physical education are offered by specially certified teachers. Epiphany Day School seeks to challenge each student to reach their potential. We prepare students to enter any middle school curriculum, including any college preparatory curriculum.
